Minimal by design
The core editor collects nothing — no accounts, no telemetry, no data of any kind. The items below only come into play if you choose to use the optional AI assistant.
API Key
Stored in macOS Keychain. Never transmitted to us.
Diagram Data
Stored locally as JSON. May be included in AI requests when you use the assistant.
AI Conversations
Sent directly to your AI provider. We never see it.
When you use the AI assistant, your messages, diagram content, and any attached files travel directly from your Mac to your chosen AI provider (Google Gemini or DeepSeek) using your own API key. MonoFlow operates no intermediary server, proxy, or relay. We have no access to your conversations.
The app displays a clear privacy consent notice and requires your explicit agreement before any data is sent to a third-party AI service. You will be informed of what data is sent and to whom before you can use this feature.

We built MonoFlow around a clear principle: if we don't need it, we don't take it.

Direct connections, your key
The AI assistant connects directly to your chosen AI provider. We operate no intermediary. Your use is subject to the provider's own policies.
Google Gemini API
SupportedAI requests are sent directly from your Mac to Google's Gemini API using your own key — MonoTools is not involved. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Please review it directly for up-to-date information on how Google handles your data.
DeepSeek API

Future Providers
We may add support for additional AI providers in future updates. When a new provider is introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated and you will be informed within the App before any data is sent to a new provider.

All data remains on your Mac. We operate no cloud storage, user accounts, or remote databases.

We hold nothing to retain
Since we do not collect or store user data on our servers, there is no data retention policy applicable to us. Your local files are entirely under your control — you decide what stays and what goes.
